The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island from The Asylum, released ironically at the same moment as Godzilla King of the Monsters is about an Island called Monster Island. There, a monster could be found, and the Monster Island will be named after him.


This film is about an asylum. It has a budget roughly equal to a large child's meal. It has a very small cast of actors and Monster Island bad movie the main stars are all on one set. This allows for all their sequences to be shot in lunch. The Asylum may not do so poorly with it, however, lest we forget this being the kaiju genre and well... that is sort of how they go.
